Deputy Principal Message

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

As we pass the halfway point of Term One, it is heartening to see both new and returning students settle into the rhythm of the school year.

For our AHSisters and their families, balancing academic and co-curricular activities requires awareness, intention, and regular reflection to ensure that students are energised by the many opportunities before them.

As our students embrace 2023 and their new routines, I thought it timely to provide some helpful reminders about how parents and caregivers can support their daughter/s:

Develop a schedule — Establish a consistent routine that encompasses all aspects of your daughter’s holistic education including academic, sporting, cultural, Mercy Action and wellbeing activities. Use time blocking to help achieve balance and prevent interruptions.

Maintain a study environment — Ensure your daughter’s study environment is comfortable, quiet, distraction-free and conducive to studying.

Stay organised — Keep track of upcoming activities in a shared family calendar. All members of the family being aware of future activities helps reduce stress and any last-minute rush associated with unanticipated events.
